AROUND ORANGE

We have a lot of people ask us about good places to stay and things to see that are close to our Noonbarra Kelpie Stud. Many of our customers like to travel with their families and make a short holiday of their trip up. There are a huge number of motels and guesthouses in the city of Orange (pop. 40,000).

Prices are normally around $100 - $120 for motels in Orange. Oriana Motor Inn is a Budget chain and is cheaper at around $85 - $90.

Most motels will allow adult dogs in cars or puppies in crates.

There are dozens of motels in Orange. Town Square Motel looks nice in the centre of town 6369 1444. Temlers Mill Motel is in the middle of town and next to Services Club 6362 5611.  Midcity Motor Lodge www.midcitymotorlodge.com.au 6362 1600 (Indian Resturant) in is the middle of city. (Customers have stayed here and said it was nice).

Country Comfort is popular on Bathurst Road near McDonalds, KFC, etc coming into town  6362 6033. (Customers have stayed here and said it was nice). Orange Motor Lodge is on the same side a few doors away 6362 4600. (Customers have stayed here and said it was nice). Ambassador is in the same area 6393 7500 (supposed to have good resturant) 6393 7500. Oriana Motor Inn is a budget chain. www.orianamotorinn.com.au 6362 3066. Caleula Motor Lodge is close to town (on main road - walk a block to shops etc.) 6362 7699. (Customers have stayed here and said it was nice). De Russie Suites we have been told by customers is nice. Luxury suites www.derussiehotels.com.au 6360 0973. Turners Vineyard is a couple of kilometres on Bathurst Road before town. Huge complex. Prices around $100. Direct dial phones, Conference facilities, air conditioned, Millhouse Restaurant. 12 spacious units, 4 family units. this motel would be approx. 25 kms from Manildra and around 35 or 36 kms from the Noonbarra Stud. Molong has a population of around 1600 people. The NSW State Arena Sheepdog trial Championships are held each year at Molong around Easter.
