IMPERIAL
GUESTHOUSE (12 Km from the Noonbarra Stud)
97-99 KIEWA STREET (Main road), Manildra NSW 2865. Ph. 02-6364 5373
Hosts: Joan and Alan Stevenson.
This is a beautifully totally restored building from the early 1900's and although it has many modern facilities including air-conditioning everything has been kept as close as possible to the original period including magazines and books.
The Imperial Guesthouse also runs a fully catered restaurant as well as take-away type fast food.
At the rear
there is a very nice barbeque area where you can sit and relax and
maybe meet
Jessie
the friendly resident dog or see a few beautiful wild parrots flying
around the trees surrounding the guesthouse. Some of the guests have
even reported seeing Platypus along the shores of the creek just a
short stroll away.
Manildra is a small country town with a population between
500 and 600 people and the main industry is the Flour Mill which is
the largest in the southern hemisphere. (Tours of the facilities can
be arranged at certain times).
We have had a number of our customers stay at the Imperial Guesthouse in Manildra and we often drop in ourselves for a meal from time to time. All reports have been positive, particularly about the friendly manner of the hosts, Joan and Alan.
