" A quick message to say Tsyzu is going great!!!!. He slept at my feet most of the way home with a toilet stop or two. This is his third day in his new house and he is settling in great. He has met the whole family and a few dogs. Everyone loves him.

He is already sitting on command, and stays as well at a distance of about 10m. sometimes needs a little persistence. He has a fantastic nature just like you said.

Tsyzu has settled in great, he is all ready really attached to me. I take him everywhere I go he gets excited soon as he hears the car keys. He has just learnt to shake hands, and when he's not pre occupied he knows sit, stay and down. I weighed him today and he is already 5kgs.

Steve mentioned having a page for Noonbarra Tsyzu to tell people on your website about my experience. I’m keen, if you could give me some more details.
Thank you again talk soon Dave & Steff.

Noonbarra Tsyzu

Hi Mary & Steve

I just want let you to know how young Tszyu is going. He is so full of energy and loves life. He already runs along side my bike at quite a moderate pace, and he likes the exercise. He comes in the car with us nearly everywhere, and when he hears the car keys he gets very excited, even if he doesn't get out at the destination he's just happy to come anyway.

NOONBARRA LOUISE

Noonbarra Roy III X Noonbarra Sarah

Owned by Mary Ellen and Michael Black - Cairns Queensland

Red & Tan Female Born: 4th June 2004

Noonbarra Louise was from the same litter as Tsyzu and Skipper who also went as companion Kelpies. Others in this litter that you can read about on this site are Mark, Del and Brooke who went to working homes and Matilda III who went for Flyball competition.

Louise is living on a orchid near Cairns in far north Queensland and has Bill the Whippet as her playmate.

"A quick update on Lou. She has settled in really well ... Bill has slowly started to acknowledge her presence, but in the beginning he was trying to ignore her -Lou's persistence wore him down and they are starting to play together. Bill even put up with her on his bed for at least 5 minutes today before she decided it was time to play.

She is extremely bright (cheeky), happy, affectionate and confident. Her tail wags all the time. House training is not a problem and she alerts us during the night when she needs to go outside.

We had some cows escape from a paddock tonight and I carried Lou with me while heading them off. She was initially curious and then a little worried. We have paddocks next to our house and I am a little concerned she may go in with the cows so I discretely watch her all the time she is outside.

We went down the water hole on the weekend. Bill loves to swim. Lou decided to follow him straight in, we were ready for a rescue but she splashed to shore and kept well away afterwards. She has also discovered that ants love bones left on the lawn.

She is great in the car. We harness her and Bill in the back seat and she has fallen asleep every time we have gone out - Bill is not so well behaved.

Michael asked me to mention that he really liked the file you sent. In particular the specific behaviours of kelpies. We are really enjoying her antics and love her heaps.

Thanks

Sept 2004

Just some photos of Lou at home with Bill the whippet. She has settled in well. Puppy classes start next week. She is already walking well on the lead and sits, just for food at the moment. She has also learnt to ring a bell when she needs to go outside - very clever girl. Will keep in touch.

SEPT 2004

Just a quick update on her progress. She is a sheer delight. Is wonderful around the house - only had 3 'accidents' since we got her and now rings a bell we have hanging on the door when she needs to get out.

She has been to two puppy training classes and is quite the star. She's sitting, dropping and waiting really well. Started some more formal lead work this week and she completely wears me out she is so eager to be off.  I wouldn't normally push a young pup too hard on obedience because I don't want to train the 'eagerness' out of her, but she is lapping it up and is obviously enjoying all the one on one attention.

She is fine with the cattle. She likes to watch them.

Thought I would just drop you a line to let you know everything is going good with noonbarra Louise she is a delight to have. We started obedience with the Cairns dog club but they are closed now for Christmas she was catching on very quickly with the training….
