Wherever possible, we like to have puppies registered in the same names as the customer calls their dog. Working Kelpies do not have long complex names like show dogs and our pedigree systems will just cut them off. They usually have simple names the same as people such as Julie, Sam, Ben, Molly, Fred, Amy etc.
If you have a name in mind for your kelpie puppy that is short and can be easily understood and pronounced in English then we'll try to get the same name registered for your dog. We prefer pup names to be under 8 or 9 letters and single words. You can sometimes have two words for puppies but they must be very short such as 'Big Red'.
