LEASH FREE DOG AREAS IN ORANGE

Paul Park, Pilcher Park, Wirrabarra Walk, Rosewood Oval Ridley Oval AND Bloomfield Park All have leash free areas.
We have often taken dogs to Bloomfield Park for a run and now there is a good enclosed area opposite Dudley Private Hospital in Orange, with Agility obstacles permanently set up for the dog to play. Contact Orange Council for further information on (02) 6393 8000.
Cafe's in Orange are very accommodating of well behaved dogs and you can sit in the outside areas and have a meal or coffee with your dog. There are also bed & breakfast establishments in Orange who are dog friendly.

PARKES RADIO TELESCOPE

This is the famous telescope that bought us the first pictures of the historical 1969 moon landing and was featured in the hit movie, 'The Dish'. It has interactive displays, tours, models etc.

GUNNADOO GOLD MINE

Famous gold mine just outside of Orange at Ophir. Gold mine tour. Gold panning, Billy tea and damper.
This mine supplied the gold for the Olympic medals.

ORANGE HERITAGE TRAIL

Orange was originally known as Blackmans Swamp. It became a village in 1846 and quickly grew.
This heritage walk takes you on a historical tour of landmark features. More information from Orange Visitors Centre Ph. 1800 069 466


Mount Canobolas State Recreation Area.

!2 kilometres south-west of Orange. Picnic areas. Great views. Walking tracks. Tea house, Camping area.

There is also Lake Canobolas Reserve nearby. Playground, picnic areas, canoeing, sailboarding, swimming. Paddleboats operate at certain times of year. Trout fishing.

Kearney's Drive. Orange. Just minutes from the CBD of Orange.
